Here at the Spirited Palace, we think about more than food, we want to free your mind too. Not only do we have a selection of thought provoking literature for you to read while you eat or snack on our delicious vegan Caribbean food and fresh fruit juices, we also have a programme of events organised and designed to exercise your mind and lift your spirits.

 

Have a look at what has been planned for the coming months and I am sure you will be spoilt for choice and clearing you diary to accommodate all the events you would like to attend!

 

18.2.2006              Live music with drummers and percussionists helping you to explore your musical mind and emotions. 8pm til late

 

25.2.2006             Spirited Palace launch. An evening full of the flavours of Ital vegan foods and entertainment to tantalise all the

                       senses and lift your spirits. 4pm til late

 

5.3.2006            Book Review – an evening of culture, reviewing both new and old books, with an opportunity to browse and

                       purchase through the extensive Atiya book collection. 5pm – 8pm

 

9.3.2006           International Women’s Week - sisters, mothers, aunties, grandma’s and nieces come together and share an

                       evening of reflection and a celebration of womanhood. 7.30pm til late.

 

18.3.2006             Raw food seminar – a discussion and exploration of the benefits of keeping it live. An opportunity to taste the

                       huge variety of raw foods available. 7pm – 10pm.

 

24.3.2006             African- Caribbean Men’s meeting – we want to encourage networking and if current affairs reporting is anything

                       to believe, much needs to be done to promote more community spirit and understanding of being male and male

                       interaction with the rest of society. **
